چکیده

Passivity{based feedback controllers are derived for the indirect stabilization of the average output voltage in Pulse{Width{Modulation (PWM) controlled dc{to{dc power converters of the \boost", \buck{boost" and \buck" types. The controller design is carried out on the basis of well known average PWM models of such circuits. These models are shown to be Euler{Lagrange systems corresponding to a suitable set of average Euler{Lagrange parameters. The proposed controllers are based on an \energy shaping plus damping injection" scheme, achievable through nonlinear dynamical feedback. The derived duty ratio synthesis policies are tested, via computer simulations, on a stochastically perturbed switched converter model.

Passivity-Based Control of the DC-DC Buck Converters in High-Power Applications

In this paper, a novel approach for control of the DC-DC buck converter in high-power and low-voltage applications is proposed. Designed method is developed according to passivity based controller which is able to stabilize output voltage in a wide range of operation. It is clear that in high-power applications, parasitic elements of the converter may become comparable with load value and hence...

SLIDING MODE CONTROL BASED ON FRACTIONAL ORDER CALCULUS FOR DC-DC CONVERTERS

The aim of this paper is to design a Fractional Order Sliding Mode Controllers (FOSMC)for a class of DC-DC converters such as boost and buck converters. Firstly, the control lawis designed with respect to the properties of fractional calculus, the design yields an equiv-alent control term with an addition of discontinuous (attractive) control law. Secondly, themathematical proof of the stabilit...

Nonlinear and Adaptive Control of Buck Power Converters

~~ This paper focuses on the problem of controlling DC-to-DC switched power converters of Buck type. The system nonlinear feature is coped with by resorting to the backstepping control approach. Both adaptive and nonadaptive versions are designed and shown to yield quite interesting tracking and robustness performances. A comparison study shows that backstepping nonlinear controllers perform as...

On Disturbance Attenuation Properties of Control

In this note we analyse the (local) disturbance attenuation properties of some asymp-totically stabilizing nonlinear controllers for Euler-Lagrange systems reported in the literature. Our objective with this study is twofold: rst, to compare the performance of these schemes from a perspective diierent from stabilizability; second, to quantify the basic tradeoo between robust stability and robus...

A Feedback Passivation Design for DC Microgrid and Its DC/DC Converters

Abstract: There are difficulties in analyzing the stability of microgrids since they are located on various network structures. However, considering that the network often consists of passive elements, the passivity theory is applied in this paper to solve the above-mentioned problem. It has been formerly shown that when the network is weakly strictly positive real (WSPR), the DC microgrid is s...
